Founded in 2019, GAFAS Optical is a family-owned eyewear business based in Los Angeles and built on a simple belief: everyone deserves clear, comfortable vision.

My name is Oscar Perez, and my journey in the optical industry began when I earned my Optical Certification in 2011. Since then, I’ve spent years helping people find solutions to their eyewear needs, from selecting the right lenses to repairing and restoring frames they thought were beyond saving.

Over the years, I developed a passion for solving the problems many eyewear users experience every day. From uncomfortable frame fits and vision concerns to lens performance issues and complex adjustments. I enjoy helping people find practical solutions that improve both comfort and clarity. This attention to detail has become one of the foundations of GAFAS Optical.

Throughout my career, I noticed something that never sat right with me. Many people invested hundreds of dollars in glasses that ultimately didn’t meet their needs, such as glasses causing unwanted headlifting or glasses sliding down and not fitting properly leaving them unused in a drawer while they continued to struggle with their vision. I knew there had to be a better way.

That’s why I founded GAFAS Optical.

Every frame you purchase includes Premium lenses, Anti-reflective coating and, Anti-Scratch coat. Simply send us your prescription, and our experienced optician Oscar Perez will carefully review it to ensure accuracy. We then select the best lens options based on your doctor’s recommendations and your visual needs.
